Frame Stage

Lockup Stage

The roof is on, walls are up, windows and external doors are installed. Your home is now secure and weather tight.

Fixing Stage

Internal features are added—plasterboard, cabinetry, benchtops, doors, and skirtings. Electrical and plumbing fit-offs begin.

Practical Completion

Final touches are made. Your site is cleaned, painting is done, and appliances are installed. You’ll walk through the home with your team to inspect everything and create a final checklist.

7. Handover and Moving In

Once everything is approved and complete, your builder will schedule a handover meeting. You’ll receive your keys, warranties, manuals, and official occupancy certificate.

Your builder may also provide a maintenance guide and schedule. Most offer a 3-month maintenance period where they’ll return to fix minor issues like cracked plaster or sticking doors.

8. Post-Build Support and Warranties

Good new home builders don’t disappear once you move in. They back their work with structural warranties (usually 25 years) and often offer additional support through client portals or customer care teams.
